Circuit Judges Appoint Donald M. Flack an Associate Judge

On behalf of the Circuit Judges of the Third Judicial Circuit, Third Circuit Chief Judge Ann Callis announces the appointment of Donald M. Flack as an Associate Judge to replace Nelson F. Metz, who retired effective April 6, 2012. 

Donald Flack earned his Law Degree from Saint Louis University in 1998.  Mr. Flack has been an Assistant State’s Attorney for the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office since 2010.  Mr. Flack has been the Sole Practitioner of Flack Law Office, P.C. practicing General and Civil Litigation from 2008 to present.  Mr. Flack was an Associate Attorney with the firms of Pratt & Tobin, P.C and Korein Tillery, LLC from 2000 – 2008. Mr. Flack is a Trustee for the Village of Bethalto, Illinois.    

Mr. Flack serves on the Local Rules Committee for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois and is a current member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Madison County Bar Association (Treasurer, 2010), and past member of the American Bar Association. 

Mr. Flack is a founding member of the Bethalto Education Foundation and was voted the Inaugural President, as well as co-founder of Bethalto Eagles Baseball and Softball Club.  He has been involved in the Rotary International, Bethalto Boys and Girls Club, Tri-County Baseball League (President, 2010), and Bethalto Village Charities. 

Mr. Flack has been married to his wife Gillian for 19 years and they have 3 children, 2 sons and a daughter.  Mr. Flack and his family are active members of the Cornerstone Church in Bethalto, where he teaches high school age students and his wife works in the nursery and with special needs children.
